Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to every appointment booked with JJ Shiny Tints. Please read them before booking — booking an appointment means you agree to the terms below.

Last updated:

1. Booking & Deposits

A deposit equal to 10% of the estimated service total is required to reserve your appointment. This deposit is applied toward the total cost of your service — it is not an extra charge. Your appointment is only confirmed once the deposit is received.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.

24+ hours' notice: your deposit is fully refunded, or transferred to your new appointment date — your choice.

Less than 24 hours' notice: your deposit is forfeited to cover the reserved time slot.

3. No-Show Policy

If our technician arrives at the scheduled time and location and cannot reach you or access the vehicle within a reasonable wait time (15–20 minutes), the appointment is marked a no-show. The deposit is forfeited, and a new deposit is required to book a future appointment.

4. Mobile Service & Access Requirements

JJ Shiny Tints is 100% mobile — we bring the service to you. Please make sure the vehicle is accessible at the confirmed location and time, with keys available. A shaded or covered area is ideal for the best install conditions but is not required. If the vehicle is not accessible at the scheduled time, this may result in a wait fee or the no-show policy above.

5. Weather

Because we work outdoors at your location, appointments may need to be rescheduled due to rain or extreme weather. Weather-related rescheduling carries no penalty — your deposit simply transfers to the new date.

6. Lifetime Warranty

Our film is backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, and discoloration for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty covers defects in the film and installation under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by accidents, improper tint removal or aftermarket work performed by someone other than JJ Shiny Tints, pre-existing cracks or defects in the glass, or intentional damage.

7. Installation Quality & Service Remedy

We aim for a perfect installation every time. That said, our film is installed on-site — often outdoors — and as with any professional tint installation, there's always a small possibility of minor contamination (such as tiny dust or debris specks) getting trapped under the film. This is a normal, accepted part of the tinting process as long as the result meets professional installation standards, meaning it is not readily visible under normal viewing conditions.

If you believe your installation has a legitimate defect beyond this standard, let us know. Our first option is always to repair or redo the affected panel at no additional cost. Whether an issue is resolved by redoing the work or by a refund is at JJ Shiny Tints' discretion.

8. Payment

The remaining balance (total price minus your deposit) is due upon completion of the service. We accept cash, card, and digital payment. Pricing is based on the vehicle, film type, and coverage selected at booking (see our current price list); any changes requested on-site may adjust the final price.

9. Legal Tint Limits & Customer Responsibility

Florida law (F.S. 316.2953) allows 28% VLT on the front windshield strip and front side windows, and 15% VLT on the back side and rear windows, with a maximum of 25% reflectivity. We only install tint within these legal limits unless you provide valid documentation for a medical exemption. It is the customer's responsibility to choose a legal tint darkness for their vehicle and location.

10. Photos & Marketing

By booking with us, you agree that photos or videos of your vehicle (not including any personal information) may be used on our website, social media, or other marketing materials. If you'd prefer we not use photos of your vehicle, just let us know and we'll leave it out.

11. Liability

JJ Shiny Tints is not responsible for pre-existing damage, factory defects, or issues caused by aftermarket electronics or modifications that interfere with installation. Remedies for installation quality issues are governed by Section 7 above. Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount paid for that service.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

This page is a general template provided for convenience and is not legal advice. We recommend having these terms reviewed by a Florida-licensed attorney before relying on them for your business.
